カンデラはMATLAB/Simulinkユーザーに、カンデラのスケーラブルでハードウェアに依存しないHMIデザインツール「CGI　Studio」をフルサポートで提供しています。「CGI　Studio」で作成されたHMIアプリケーションは、「CGI Studio MATLAB Connector」を介してMathWorks社の MATLAB/Simulink環境に統合できます。

 

「CGI Studio MATLAB Connector」は、MATLAB/Simulinkと、カンデラの強力なメッセージングおよびデータバインディングを行う「Courier Interaction Framework」との間でインターフェースを生成するためのツールです。このインターフェースにより、双方の間でデータやイベントを交換することができ、ランタイムやシミュレーション環境において使用することができます。

Holistic HMIソリューション

ルネサス エレクトロニクス社の実機「R-Car H3」を使用したHolistic HMIは、複数のディスプレイの相互通信と高度な連携を可能にし、Apple CarPlay®やGoogle Android Auto™などの携帯用デバイスと接続することで、ドライバーの状況と交通環境の両方を認識することができます。

 

また、「Courier Interaction Framework」によって、HMIアプリケーションと外部データソース間のスムーズな連携が可能です。

MATLAB EXPO 2021 Japan is a comprehensive conference that introduces the latest innovative technologies through case studies by users of MATLAB®/Simulink® numerical analysis software developed by MathWorks, as well as technical lectures and demonstrations by MathWorks representatives.

 

HMI applications created with our scalable and hardware-independent HMI design tool “CGI Studio” can be integrated into an MathWorks MATLAB® Simulink® environment via “CGI Studio MATLAB Connector”. “CGI Studio MATLAB Connector” is an easy-to-use tool to generate an interface between MATLAB® Simulink® and Candera’s powerful messaging and data binding framework called “Courier Interaction Framework”. This interface allows the exchange of data and events between both sides and can be used in runtime and simulation environments.

 

At our Candera booth, we will introduce brand-new features of CGI Studio, enabling rapid AI assisted HMI creation.

 

Holistic HMI Solution

Holistic HMIs will not only have the ability to perfectly interact and communicate with each other, they will be able to connect with nomadic devices (e.g. Apple CarPlay®, Google Android Auto™) and consider both the driver’s situation as well as the traffic environment.

Candera‘s Holi Solution has been created with CGI Studio and will show how multiple displays are perfectly interacting and communicating with each other. CGI Studio 3.10」


「CGI Studio」は、車載向けハイブリッド 2D/3D グラフィカルインターフェイス(HMI/GUI)を作成するカンデラのソフトウェア開発プラットフォームです。

最新バージョンの 3.10 では、日本のユーザーにもよりご利用いただきや
すいように日本語版を追加し、チュートリアルなどを拡充することで、使
いやすさを追求しました。さらに、リモートレンダリングによりコンテンツをどこでも共有することができる「Candera LINK」やス

presenting the latest novelties in the fields of Automotive HMI design and Embedded Software. Candera will also
introduce a brand-new feature of CGI Studio, enabling rapid AI assisted HMI creation.

The Automotive Engineering Exposition is Japan’s largest technical exhibition for automotive engineers, providing the
latest technologies and products to the world. The Automotive Engineering Exposition was first held in 1992 as an
exhibition specializing in automotive technologies for engineers and researchers active on the front lines of the
automotive industry, and this will be the first time to be held online.

Created with Candera’s HMI design tool CGI Studio, at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2021 ONLINE, Candera
will present a mix of different HMI solutions based on various embedded devices: TRAVEO™ CYT4DL solution, full
digital cluster solutions based on Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and more.

Furthermore, the latest version 3.10 of CGI Studio, which enables high-speed HMI creation with AI support, and EV
cluster created with CGI Studio will be showcased for the first time.

CGI Studio 3.10

CGI Studio 3.10 is Candera’s latest software development platform for creating automotive hybrid 2D and 3D graphical
interfaces (HMI/GUI).

The latest version 3.10 has been designed to be easier to use for Japanese users by adding a Japanese version and expanding tutorials, etc. In addition, it implemented functions to support total HMI development, such as “Candera LINK Remote Rendering” that enables sharing of content anywhere, and Monotype Spark™, which can draw text as beautiful as a smartphone.

Smart Importer


This new feature is part of CGI Studio 3.10 and has been developed to support users without any programming skills to
easily create stunning HMI solutions. Smart Importer turns static graphic files like Adobe® Photoshop, Sketch or Axure®
RP into full functional HMIs, making complex programming routines obsolete.

R-Car M3 EV Cluster Solution

Candera exhibited at “Automotive World” on January 20 to 22, 2021 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan and online.

Automotive-World

Automotive World Tokyo is the largest exhibition for the advanced automotive technologies worldwide. It is a combination of exhibitions & conferences covering important topics in the automotive industry such as automotive electronics, connected car, autonomous driving, EV/HV/FCV, lightweight, processing technology and MaaS.

The Candera booth showcased the latest novelties in the fields of Automotive HMI design and Embedded Software, including a digital meter cluster running on Renesas Electronics’ “R-Car M3”, and a high-resolution cluster demo using Mentor Graphics’ real-time operating system.

Furthermore, Candera introduced CGI Studio’s Smart Photoshop Importer, a brand-new feature, enabling a rapid and automated HMI creation.

David Aberl, Candera’s Product Manager, presented about “Smart HMI Development – AI assisted UI/UX automation” online. In this presentation he introduced more about Candera’s Smart Photoshop Importer, and how this feature can especially support graphical artists and designers with no programming skills to automatically create full functional HMIs.

R-Car M3 Cluster Solution

This modern digital cluster on Renesas Electronics’ “R-Car M3” is one of the newest iterations of Candera‘s ambition to shape and create the future of automotive HMIs. It includes a modern design, PBR, Particle effects, Morphing and many more.

Safety Certifiable High Resolution Cluster Demo

This solution showcases safety separation between an advanced automotive cluster HMI application, implemented using CGI Studio, and safety-critical digitally displayed tell-tale warning indicators. It addresses the challenge of mixing safety-critical and non-critical information on a single instrument cluster display while satisfying essential safety requirements for automotive certification such as ISO 26262.

Apart from those solutions, Candera presented several other innovative HMI solutions for the Automotive industry, like an AndroidTM based solution and the Holistic HMI approach. We had many visitors came to Candera booth.
